The pieces shuffled a bit once the cheese melted on the pizza, but they still turned out great, and of course, tasted delicious. ![]() I decided to surprise the boys by creating football pizzas. I grabbed two Rising Crust styles: Four Cheese and Pepperoni. We may not agree on teams in the house, but we definitely agree DiGiorno is a game day food favorite. Keep the display refrigerated until serving time, and then put it in a COLD corner of your kitchen ( I stuck mine in a windowsill with the sun on it and the cheese stick goal posts started to slowly keel over…oops). With everything already in place that way, there's less chance of your goal posts getting bumped as you try to arrange vegetables – or vice versa. Once you have your pizza-field setup, you can lower it down gently into the middle of your veggie sticks. That's why this smaller pizza was the perfect size for our snackadium. The smaller the goal posts, the easier they'll stand up. ![]() Construct some cheese sticks into a goal post configuration with toothpicks, and then prop them up on your pizza with a few more toothpicks at the base. It works best if you first lay out your veggies in a large bowl with a plate in the middle.Ĭook a bunch of pizza and cut down a large piece to fit a plate the same size as the plate in the middle of your presentation ( so you'll need two plates). Most of them are chock full of fried foods or chips, so I call it a real win that this can serve just about any eater's needs. I've seen SO many snackadiums, but I was proud of myself for coming up with one that offers up something healthy and showcases everyone's favorite game day main dish. Plus, it's always good to have string cheese on-hand for kid snacks like this tic tac toe pizza or apple face food craft. I've found that string cheese also works in a pinch, and it actually tends to hold its shape better when being used for decorative purposes like a football pizza. I simply rearranged the pepperoni into a football shape and added some thin-sliced mozzarella. This football pizza is ridiculously easy, and Nate giggled when he saw it. The two together is a winning combination.Īll I had to do for this football pizza was add a few sliced olives. They make a few different varieties of frozen pizza, including Uncured Pepperoni pizza with vegetarian-fed pork ( no nitrates!) and my new fave Chicken Sausage Pizza.
